Moving In

When Annabelle had arrived at the school at age thirteen, she hadn't minded being in an all-girls dorm. She hadn't been too interested in boys then to want to have a co-ed dorm, and knew that if she did have one, she'd probably just embarrass herself. Now that she was sixteen, the only reason she didn't get pissed about still being in an all girls dorm was that the school put her and Clarisse LeBonne together every year. Reece's parents would probably blow a fuse if they even heard her name and 'co-ed dormitory' in the same sentence. So the tall, tan girl lugged her suitcases up the stairs to the girls-only section of the second floor. It could never be predicted what room you would be in, as there were always new students and students that had graduated. That was the reason all doors and a list of names from two to four students on them, indicating who was to live in that room. Right by the stairs, the first door to the left, was room 201. Clarisse LeBonne and Annabelle Colfer. Other residents were yet unassigned.
Smirking, Annabelle located the set of four keys to the room hanging in a bag from the door handle. She grasped the bag and pulled the door open before setting her stuff down on the bed in the far left corner, next to the bathroom door. The back left bed was always her's, no contest. After making sure the door had been left unlocked for her roommate, the girl opened up one of her suitcases and began moving her wardrobe into the closet. Rooms weren't huge, but they were big enough. Everyone got their own small closet (though someone almost always had to give up half of theirs for Annabelle). Everyone got a bed, a nightstand, and there was a bookshelf near the window on the right wall in the center of the room. The bathroom door was in the back of the room in the center, between two beds. All four beds were in a corner.
Annabelle's clothes took up both closets on her side of the room. Once they were all put away, she began hanging up her posters and photos from home on her wall near her bed, standing on her bed to do so. She heard footsteps coming up the stairs, easy to hear since the room was so eerily silent. Having become accustomed to Clarisse's ever-odd reading on the Angelic-Demonic Scale (Meaning that it was as though there were two readings, one normal for a human, and one much darker), Annabelle knew it was her roommate coming up the stairs. Smiling, she continued to hang up photos. A laugh bubbled from her lips at photo of herself with cake all over her face posing with her dad on her third birthday. The door opened and the tan girl jumped down from her bed.
Rooming with someone that had a Gift that clashed with her own had proved to be quite amusing in the past. Sure, it was a pain in the ass sometimes. But most of the time, it ended up in amusement on Annabelle's side and annoyance onReece'sOmega's side.
