"So...this is it...." rang the words of a young student as he exited a campus owned min-bus. He having only two duffel bags full of cloths as well as a small decorative rug, a young Rajah stepped off the bus and looked to the outside of the student housing. He was slightly impressed by the way the building was made. He was used to the curves and domes of India, streets littered with merchants and giant hustle and bustle of Indian streets. He found the area almost deathly quite, a far cry from his home. He had been waiting for this moment ever since he got on the plane to go here, he riding along with the recruiter to which he barely made any conversation. He wore a traditional cloth white shirt that went to his shins, with Tan cloth pants, a brown scarf that hung loosely around his neck and brown leather sandals. His white hair hung slightly cared for so that it was out of his face but laid relaxed against his neck and over his scarf. While on the plane, the recruiter tried to question Rajah about his life so far, and all he could manage to get from him was, "It was rough, but I am alive, that's all I care about." outside of that, Rajah and the recruiter were met with long awkward stares and silence, mostly from the other passengers who weren't used to seeing teens with white hair and gold colored eyes. Rajah knew they were looking and made no eye contact with any of them. The recruiter tried his best to get to know Rajah for the long flight but got nowhere. It was apparent that Rajah was indeed anti-social, more so than his parents had warned the recruiter. Once they landed how ever, Rajah did say that he was hungry. The Recruiter assured him that once on campus and as soon as he was settled in the dorms, the cafeteria would be open to him. He then boarded the bus and again was silent till he exited the vehicle.
"Heh, the stone man speaks." joked the recruiter as he held his own bag, he waving to the driver as he went to park the bus in the nearby storage. "So, care to get things put away?" he asked as he directed Rajah to the Student lounge. Rajah nodded and walked with the recruiter, he taking each step slowly as he took in everything around him. He lugged his bags about as he walked into the comforting looking lounge, he looking to the many couches and lounge chairs. He sat his bags by one of the couches and sat down, feeling the leather on his the deep brown skin of his arms, he sighing, "These feel much better than the seats on the plane..." he said, feeling relaxed as the Recruiter sat across from him. "I'm glad you like it Raj. This is the student lounge, nice place for you and your class mates to relax and study. Right now though, we have to get you into one of the rooms. Just take a moment to rest a little while I get you your key. Don't go any where now." he said enthusiastically as raj was left with his belongings and the feel of the new room. He looked about, seeing the decor that resembled that off a college study hall. in the middle of the collection of couches and chairs was a table with many of the latest magazines and newspapers. Raj looked over one before picking it up, he reading the headline but not understanding what it was talking about. He continued to look through it till he found something he could understand, the weather. He was surprised by just how cool it was here, he seeing that he would need to get a few things with the money his foster parents had given him for his stay. He grabbed one of his bags and then started to find something that would be thick enough for how cold it would be and sighed. "I'll find something at the American market..." he said softly as he sat his bag down and looked to stairs that led to the dorms and then the exit, wondering just where the recruiter went, "I hope he gets back soon...I'm really hungry..."
